Explore the legacy of Silicon Valley Comes to the UK and its legacy across the global ecosystem for tech entrepreneurship.

Silicon Valley Comes to the UK (SVC2UK) gathered great minds to support scaleups, champion an inclusive and diverse ecosystem and inspire the next generation of innovators.

It ran three successful core programmes – the Annual November Summit, Scale Up Club and Beyond HERizons – that connected innovators, investors and founders to corporates, academics, policymakers, and scaleup founders and leaders.

Founded in 2006 and run by London & Partners since 2017, Silicon Valley Comes to the UK came to an end in 2022.

Silicon Valley Comes to the UK programme

The SVC2UK schedule was built around three core programmes designed to deliver high-impact activity to help us achieve our mission.

Annual November Summit

The Annual November Summit saw a thought-provoking programme of events and speakers allowing the community of leading minds to come together to discuss, inspire and innovate. Past speakers included Michael Acton Smith, co-founder of Calm; Anne Boden, founder and CEO of Starling Bank; Rishi Khosla, CEO and co-founder of OakNorth; and Natalie Campbell, co-CEO of Belu.

Scale Up Club

The Scale Up Club operated as a 12-month membership programme, with members exclusively joining the flagship CEO Summit during SVC2UK in November. Members could also access other community events throughout the year and connect with experts and advisors.

The extensive and engaged alumni span the globe from London and the UK to Silicon Valley and beyond, including such well-known companies as Olio, Graze, Wise and Skyscanner.

Beyond HERizons

In 2021-22, SVC2UK put on Beyond HERizons, a programme that offered education, support and networking opportunities to female founders. SVC2UK launched Beyond HERizons to support its female founder network on their scaling journeys, empower female founders to pursue and secure funding, and build an inclusive and diverse network passionate about balancing gender inequalities in the investment ecosystem.
